Hi! I am a radio DJ, guitarist, writer, reporter and interviewer from a suburb of Chicago and grew up on The Clash, The Replacements, Wilco, Television and musical-loving parents.
During my tenure at the University of Oregon, I was the host of Traffic Jamz on KWVA 88.1 FM, a 2-hour weekly radio show featuring an eclectic blend of post-punk, new wave, 60's British invasion garage rock, acid rock, psych-rock, blues, metal, ska, funk, soul and indie. "Its the jamz, to get you out of traffic" became the iconic slogan heard on the airwaves on Fridays from 2-4 pm.
I have also interviewed an eclectic range of musical artists, musicians, DJs, Grammy winners, producers, performers, rappers, singers, songwriters, entrepreneurs and those who are up-and-coming.
Honing my journalistic skills, I worked for The Eugene Weekly and Daily Emerald on the city beat interviewing city officials, commissioners, business owners, nonprofit workers, Board of Trustee staff and community members.
I am working on a documentary with a group of creatives about the Eugene, OR DIY house show scene where I interview bands and even dive into a moshpit with a GoPro strapped to my head.
I am hoping to work in the music industry in NYC with a dream of becoming a Music Supervisor.
